Archive Fees

Copying:

All photocopying of original documents will be done by the staff. Photocopying will not be done if it infringes on copyright, a donor restriction or if it jeopardizes the condition of the material.

All photocopy/colour copy requests require:

  • a photocopy request
  • approval by staff
  • pre-payment

Copying Charges:

Copies from archival information files [including newspapers]: 25¢ a page

Other fees:

We have a subscription to Ancestry.com available under supervision to the public for a charge. For an additional charge a volunteer can work with you.

Research Fees:

Except for the above fees, there is no charge for those who come to the archives to do their own research. For those who cannot come to our archives, we will do the first twenty minutes of research for free, the charge for additional research is $20. per hour. The cost of the photo-copying and postage will be in addition.

We are a non-profit organization, we appreciate donations for extensive assistance and/or use of our resources.

PHOTOGRAPHS:

Reproduction Fee:

All photographs printed in house are laser prints on digital photographic paper. Maximum size to fit on a 8 ½ x 11 inch paper at $10 per page. Arrangements can be made to have other size and quality reproductions made at a print shop.

We do not release high quality digital files of our images except in exceptional circumstances.

There will be additional user fee charges for publication and mass productions.

CONDITIONS OF SALE OF PHOTOGRAPHIC REPRODUCTIONS:

All images used for publication or display must be credited to the photographer, if known, and the Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Arts Society, and must include the Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Arts Society photo number.

All responsibility for possible copyright infringement and invasion of privacy arising from the use of an image is assumed by the user.

No negatives, digital images, or any other form of reproduction may be made of Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Arts Society photographic images without permission from the Armstrong Spallumcheen Museum and Arts Society.
